Morning temperature was 52 degrees.
The other day Skip was saying they went to TPH for lunch and had a great Ruben sandwich. That was enough for me, we're going.
But first it was off to Gallery 55 for Sharon to pick up another trinket. This trip I took some time for a few pictures of the items that are in the shop, some very interesting stuff. There is one artist, Alan Giltzow that does a great job with fishes, we have a couple in our house.
Then it was on to TPH for lunch, the Ruben did not disappoint, what is not pictured is the bowl clam chowder. You get your monies worth when you eat at TPH. We saved half of the sandwichs for lunch tomorrow.
After a long wait and twice as much hype, it's game day and the debut of The University of Texas Longhorns under head coach Charlie Strong. I was excited because I had the opportunity to WATCH the game on my iPad, using the ESPN Watch app, hooked into the Suddenlink Longhorn Network. Worked for a while then the WiFi network started choking my feed as there was too much streaming. I had to switch over and listen to most of the game, over the band, via the Internet, which they did not restrict. The results were good, Texas, under the direction of Charlie Strong is currently undefeated.
Last night was the Labor Day party put on by the McCall RV Resort, complete with hot dogs, brats, and beer. Also the Bottom Line provided the live music. During the party it began to rain, but it was not rained out, the band merely relocated to the inside of the lodge and the party continued with dancing, singing, eating and just a little beer. Thanks, G7.
