August 8, 2014 Day 58
Morning temperature was 54 degrees.
Today was strange and you felt you were really out camping, stranded on an island. Around mid day, no TV, no Internet, and for some no telephone. The businesses in McCall had no computers either, so made doing business more difficult. Apparently a bundle of fiber optics was cut somewhere near McCall and some were speculating that it could take up to 4 days to get it repaired. I had intended to do a blog catch up today, be the technology was not available.
We went to Li's for lunch, you know the one man show Chinese food. It was good and Mr. Li was very accommodating. I'm not sure how he is going to make a go if it, and I do not really expect him to be here next year. After lunch we walked down the block to the Maverick gas station and got a soft cone for dessert.
Walking back to the car and finishing off our cones, we ran on to Alpine Village and their spectacular fountain hidden from the main streets of McCall.
Back at the park we settled in to a day of real relaxation. Fortunately for me I had a book downloaded to my Ipad, and I passed the day reading and napping.
That evening I played golf at McCall Golf Club with Steve, Ballard and Yugi. While we were on the golf course the fiber optic bundle cut, or whatever, was repaired and life was back to normal?
