Friends of the McCall Library

August 18, 2014, Monday Day 68

Morning temperature when I got up and fixed my coffee 57 degrees.

My morning walk was up to Al's house.  From the park it is about a 40 minute walk.  Up the hill out of the park, past the airport, past Riddley's and Rite Aide, past the post office, past the Junior High and the elementary school and into Al's back yard.  Mostly up hill.  We hit tennis balls for about an hour, Al hit more than I did.  Al keeps improving every day and is getting his stamina back.

After hitting tennis balls, Nancy gave me a ride back to the park, but not without a stop at the post office to mail all of Nancy's books.  I think she said 500.  Nancy is part of the friends of the McCall library and a few times a year Harlequin Book sends over prints of brand new books to the library.  Nancy takes these and puts them on Ebay and sells them with the proceeds going to the McCall Library.

Happy Hour this evening was with Bev and Skip with their friends from the same area they live, Thousand Oaks, California, Dave and Sue.  Dave is a retired Fire Chief and Sue is a Retired Fire Chief's Wife.
