Tied Again

August 15, 2014, Friday Day 65

Temperature in the morning was 57 degrees.

This morning we decided to have breakfast in, at our respective living spaces.  Sharon's friend Andi and her husband David have rented one of the cabins that are located in the RV park, it is a one bedroom loft which they said was very comfortable.

We needed a little lunch before the afternoon activities and we headed for Hometown Pizza.  They have very good Pizzas and great Salads.

David and I had a tee time at Osprey Meadows at the Tamarack Resort.  Sharon and Andi decided to pass on the golf and to do a little shopping in McCall in hopes of reviving the local economy and join us for dinner after we finished our golf.

The weather was a little threatening in the morning, but by the time we got to the golf course, it had cleared up nicely.  By the second hole I was down to my shorts and very comfortable.  Osprey Meadows is a very nice course and was rated very highly by Golf Digest as a great course to play in Idaho.  The course over looks the Cascade Lake, making for very pretty views and is up against the mountains in the Tamarack ski area.  David and I had our usual match and it had not an uncommon ending.  I was ahead by two after 16 and David played the last two holes great so we ended up tied again.

Dinner was at Morels, the restaurant in  the Tamarack Lodge where the golf course is located.  I had asked the locals if they had any recommendations on Morels and they all said it was very good a few years ago, but no one had been there lately, so we had to take a chance.  Well it was great, we dined on the patio in great weather with good views of the golf course and the lake.  We had a great waitress that took real good care of us.  After dinner we moved inside to share a dessert of Blue Berry Bread Pudding.
