Early morning the temperature was 57 degrees.
We started the morning off, at Andi's request, breakfast at TPH.
We made a tee time for 1PM at McCall Golf Club for the four of us, for Sharon to try our here recently re-discovered golf skills. The ladies signed up for nine holes and the gents for 18. We all made it through 6 holes just fine. On number 7 it started to sprinkle and then rain and the ladies headed for the barn, you know they might melt, but as it turned out it was a smart move. David and I continued to play and finish the seventh hole under a heave down pour, rain jackets and all. We decided to wait it out under some very thick pine trees. And that was just fine until it started raining even harder which was followed by hail. We looked around and saw that the green we had just played was overflowing with water along with some accumulation of hail. So we too did the smart thing and headed for the barn. Turned out that as soon as we got back to the club house it had quite raining, but we were soaked and tied after 7. The brought their Aggie golf bags as they did not sell even though I advertised them on the Blog.
We picked up our rain check, joined up with the ladies and headed for STAX for lunch to get dried out and warmed up.
After everyone had a hot shower and some dry clothes we gathered for Happy Hour, prior to our dinner reservations at Buffalo Gal in Donnelly about 11 miles down the road.
Buffalo Gal bills their food as Global Comfort Food, so they have a great variety of dishes, appetizers, entries, and desserts. It is a very small establishment, ten tables or so, and very popular that it requires reservations and is open Thursday through Sunday. The meal was great.
