Tennis in the morning. Met at the High School courts with a group that has been put together by Steve Boussolini, a local resident, tennis player and golfer, he makes the pairings and you show up and play. Today I played with Steve, Mark, Gordon and Bob rotated in for a few games until his shoulder, injured in a dirt bike incident, gave out. Did not reach another mile stone today, but held my own by coming out ahead in the final set tie breaker with my buddy, doubles expert, Gordon. I guess it show stamina to win in the final set. After tennis Skip and I stopped by the RV for a beer. Franz was invited be he had other more important things to do, like make his wife happy on her birthday.
In the evening, at Happy Hour, we celebrated Marcia's birth day, no age was declared. Franz went to extra efforts to get up early in the day, so he could get a day old cake from Paul's. They do have them left over from the last day and some of them are un-decorated, so you can get them to put what you want and they look brand new fresh. There were gifts aplenty and Marcia was transformed into queen for a day. Ice cream was provided by Bev and Ship. I think Marcia must have recognized the day old cake as she was holding the knife very close to Franz.
Lamb Chops on the grill with a nice red wine and we called it a day.
