Fairwell to The Pan Cake House

August 26, 2012, Day 80

Well it's Sunday again and you know what that means, yep, The Pan Cake House.  But, this time its different as it is the last time before we depart McCall, almost brings a little tear to your eye.  It was great and hearty, with big mounds of food enough to last you all day, well at least until dinner.  I had my new favorite, self made pan cake sandwiches.  The front porch of The Pan Cake House is bordered by lots and lots of petunias, which really give it some color.  I needed to take a picture today as I was afraid if I waited any longer, they might freeze, been down to the lower 40's here in the mornings.  Our breakfast bunch was down to four, as the other two, Skip and Bev, left last week for the trip home.

In our minds we are beginning our count down to departure as we leave on September 1, so it's six days to departure. Not that we can do any real preparation, but we begin thinking about it. How are we going to get all this stuff put away?

We had Happy Hour at Jim and Helen's, they are from Boise and come here to escape the heat and smoke, nice people. Helen made some really nice artichoke dip things with green chili mixed in cooked in a small muffin pan, have to steal that recipe.

A lite dinner of Salmon on the grill, with some 3 buck chuck.
