August 22, 2012, Day 67
Well morning came and it was clear and no smoke, guess the big rains we had yesterday cleared it out.
The final phase of the Skip and Bev fair-well took place around 8:30, with the hooking up of the car behind the motor home, final hugs and hand shakes, and they roared off over the hill headed for new adventures.
Tennis this morning. There was a little lack of or over communication on the part of the tennis participants. First of the Gordon, Gordon, Gordon. He sent a message that he could not find a fourth and that went around the horn, so we were only going to have three. Franz contacted Al in the morning and he showed up as the fourth, however, the third did not show, so we played 1 on two for about an hour. Come to find out the third thought that since there were only going to be three, we would cancel, so he just did not show. So much for instant communication in today's world. Some times these old farts just don't get it.
After tennis Sharon and I went to Jug Mountain for lunch. Not only do they have a beautiful golf course setting, they also have a nice place for dining and viewing and good food also.
Happy Hour came around and Franz and Marcia, begged off. Franz was somewhere in Idaho on his motorcycle and Marcia was ailing from aches and pains. So I went to the Tennis Clinic.
The second and final of the Gordon, Gordon, Gordon. He was directing the clinic, again, giving his doubles strategy. When you go to one of these clinics, you hope you come away a little sore form hitting so many tennis balls. When I come back from one of Gordon's sessions, only my ears are sore. I swore the last time that it would be the last time and now I am sure this was the last time.
After I returned to the RV park and soaked my ears in ice packs, we had Happy Hour, a nice way to relax. In fact it was so nice that we did not want to cook. So up the top of the hill we went, near the air port to Si Bueno for a light Mexican meal of tacos.
