Today we decided to try and find some stuff that we needed in the RV. First was a fan to circulate the air in the bed room at night. Did you know, there are no fans in McCall, they are all sold out, Rite-Aid, Lumber Store and Ace Hardware, maybe be re-stocked by Monday. Next, an inside outside thermometer, the one we have is on the fritz. Found one at Radio Shack and wouldn't you know it as soon as we brought it back and got it set up, Sharon managed to get the other one working. OK, so now we have two, one for the bedroom and one for the living area. I needed to come up with a tie down solution for the awning as one end is on the asphalt and I can't use my screw-in method. Best thing I could come up with was a 5 gallon bucket and fill it with water. I figure that this will give me enough weight to hold the awning down it a light to moderate wind. Found one at Ace, but I am open to other suggestions. Off to McCall Farmers Market, open Wednesdays and Saturdays. Bought some fresh berries for morning smoothies and some tamales and a chili relleno.
Then it was back to the park where I set up Sharon's sun flower for visual entertainment. We picked up Marcia for lunch; we invited Franz but he was out dirt bike riding and Marcia left him a note. Went to Lardo's which is decorated with antique cash registers and stuffed animals.
I'm going to give Marcia and Franz credit for sponsoring this evening's Happy Hour, complete with a Mexican Martini for Sharon. This was followed with a light dinner and Pig Tail Soup.
It sure stays light here late, sun set is at 9:33.
