I took a short bike ride today just to get moving around a bit. I rode through the park, then up the big hill which leads to the entrance of the park. I went down Mission and rode through and around the Smoke Jumpers center for the area. This is where they deploy smoke jumpers on air planes and drop them into fires around the state. There have be a few fires around, nothing near us at this time. The smoke jumpers take off every day very early in the morning. I then went up the bike trail, past the edge of the airport and then back to the park.
The big event for the day was the evening meal that we had planned at Buffalo Gal, in Donnelly, an excellent restaurant in the area where reservations are mandatory. We were primarily celebrating Eddie and Margaret's anniversary, there were eight of us, Nancy and Al, Marcia and Franz and Sharon and myself. Together all of us represented 153 years of wedded bliss and some even renewed their vows.
After dinner we went back to Nancy and Al's house for some desert. On the way we had to round up the carrot cake and the ice cream. It was a great gathering and I think we all slept very well, except of Al, who was thinking about his mile swim in the morning.
