McCall First Day

July 2, 2013 Day 32

It was our first full day in McCall and so what would you expect, The Pan Cake House.  Franz and Marcia came by and picked us up at 8 so we could get a good seat before all the tourists arrived and arrive they did, the place was full by the time we left.  You won't believe the size of the Cinnamon Roll, big enough for the whole table.  Looks kind of like a cow patty, but tasted much better.

When we got back to the RV park, Sharon and Marcia took off and went shopping.  I kind of did some additional set up, taking things out of the truck, setting up Sharon's Sun Flower, getting the bike down, and other stuff.  Then it was off to the tire store to get the trailer tire repaired so it could serve as a spare on our trip back.

Got an email from David Heath and he gave me their availability dates in August for coming to Idaho, which worked in great for our schedule.  Got on the bicycle and went down to the Office to see if there were any cabins available for those dates, they were and we put together their reservation, so we have got that to look forward to.

Al Butler called, local McCall resident and all sport enthusiast, to schedule a golf game in the afternoon at Osprey Meadows, at the Tamarack ski resort.  Oh, by the way, Al is a snow board instructor there during the winter.  went back to the tire store to pick up the repaired tire and the man said it was no charge, free.  I said how can that be, he said that fixed flats are free, unless you are and ass hole, so I guess I qualified for a free tire repair.  Sharon returned from shopping in the early afternoon and then it was time to head off for golf.

Last year when we were here the golf course at Tamarack, Osprey Meadows, was in terrible shape and only got playable just before we left.  This year it is in great shape and the course is changeling, as they all are, but it was fun.  Tee time was at 4:12 and we were finished in about three and a half hours.  Tamarack is about 30 minutes from McCall.

When I returned from golf, Sharon had not eaten so we went to the Blue Moose for a burger and a beer.  We declared that Happy Hour.

The temperature got to 95 again today, but in the late afternoon the clouds rolled in and it cooled down nicely, 81, by the time we returned from the Blue Moose.  Had a little rain on the golf course near the end of the round.

  1. So how do you know if that roll tasted better than a cow patty? Have you been tasting Coe patties?
