A Clean Cap is a Happy Cap

July 12, 2013 Day 42

Morning temp was 47, no cloud cover this morning.

I was up a little after 6 and the smoker jumpers took off in their plane at 6:28.

Sharon has been after me for a few days to clean up the RV after many days on the road, how many, about 47, but not all of them on the road.  During our journey and before, we picked up many many bugs and it was about time that I cleaned them off.  Armed with my trusty extension brush, the neighbors ladder, some Vavoom cleaner, a little Dawn dish washing soap and the ever so effective dryer sheet to do the final clean up of the of the bug juice.  As we all know, A Clean Cap is a Happy Cap.

Eddie P made a tee time for us at Jug Mountain for 3:10 and we went to the Mountain for a round of golf.  Eddie P, Margaret and I played while Sharon drove our cart and tended the flag.  The front nine moved along fairly quickly and then we started backing up with two slower groups ahead of us.

We had planned on having dinner, the six of us, Franz and Marcia, along with the golfing three some and Sharon, the more than proficient flag tender.  Dinner on the Mountain, Jug Mountain, was nice.  We ate inside as the table they had set for us was in the direct sun.  However; the table on the inside was directly over a very productive air conditioner vent that Franz had to cover up with his coat to prevent the table from freezing.  Franz and Marcia shared the Hawaiian Pork, Sharon and Eddie P. had a burger, Eddie P's was all the way, Margaret had the noodle bowl, which came in a take out container and I had the Ahi Tuna Steak.  Let's see, for Happy Hour drinks, and it took almost an hour to get our food, Sharon had a double Grey Goose, with triple olives, Franz and two Manhattans, Marcia and Margaret had the house Chardonnay, and I had two Jameson's on the rocks.  We all agreed that it was a Great meal, great friends, and great time at sun set.

Sun Set

Our new shower arrived today from Camping World.  The hose on the old one started coming loose and crimping causing a deduced water flow.  I am always leery of installing replacement items in the RV as they have a history of not matching up with the items being replaced.  Fortunately the new shower head and hose matched up nicely, all I had to do was remove the old and put in the new.  Of course the hanger upper thing didn't match so I had to take down the old one, patch the holes left in the wall with Caulk and drill two new holes for the new hanger upper thing.
