Early morning, temps in the 50's, walk around the park for some exercise and just to see what's going on. There is a lot of un-improved space for camp sites down at the bottom of the hill. One of the projects for this park is to put in about 100 new sites. I think it will be a very long term project for them, pay back does not look real good. Park is very full as it is the 4th of July weekend. We sure will be glad when Sunday afternoon comes and all the little tykes and their trikes go back home.
We have reserved a nice cabin at the top of the hill for Sharon's friend Andi and her husband David for a late August arrival, hope they like it.
Today we prepped for the fire works display on lake Payette. There are mobs of people down here for this thing, so I decided to position the truck for an easy get away. I found a place about two blocks from the lake in a public parking lot, the last place as the mob was starting to form by early afternoon. After I positioned the truck I called Franz and he met me at the Maverick station for a ride back to the RV park.
We had Happy Hour and then a good steak on the grill with the remainder of the two point five buck Chuck from the other night.
Fire works don't start until after sundown, quite a while after sundown. So the plan was for Franz to take Marcia and me, Franz and Sharon did not want to go, to the truck so we could pick up some chairs, at around 9 PM. Marcia and I were in position by 9:30 and the sun set around 9:35. It was still too light for the show to begin so we had to wait. The show started a little after 10:30 and was over at 10:49. A quick trip back to the truck and we were out of there and back at the RV park by 11:02.
