51 Glorious Years

June 30, 2013, Day 30

Today Sharon and I have been married for 51 Glorious years.  So today is a special day, not only do we get to celebrate our wedding anniversary we get to get started on packing up and heading toward McCall.

Sorry about the technical difficulties, but the WiFi and the park sucked.  You could never count on a good connection and when you got one you did not know how long it would last.  We are now in McCall and the WiFi connection here appears to by quite good, so no more excuses and no more No Broken Eggs, I hope.

As a part of the fixin' to get ready, I checked the tire pressure on the truck and the trailer, most needed just a minor topping off.  Except for one of the trailer tires.  When I checked it there was only about 60 lbs and it needs to be 110, so we have a problem Houston.  I filled it to 110 and waited a few hours and it was down again, so I have to get it changed and put on the spare, but that will wait until morning.

We celebrated with Happy Hour at our apartment on wheels and then it was off to The Cedars, a floating restaurant on lake CDL, just a quarter mile down from the RV Park.  It is a beautiful view and we were there right around sun set.  We started with more cocktails and Sharon had the King Crab and I had the Dungeness Crab.  Both were very good and quite labor intensive, and thus was the celebration.  It looks like we could have taken a dinner cruise from the boats on the lake but we were quite happy to be inside with the air conditioning.  We were not exempt from the the Western Heat Wave as today in CDL the outside temp at the Apartment on Wheels reached 99, so most of our day time was spent inside.

This is a warning, the pictures below are quite Graphic so you might want to look away.  Our across the street neighbor, Celia, went on a bike ride with her two grandsons near Zilker Park, and ended up with quite a spill, a visit from the EMS and a trip to the emergency room.  Things seem to be on the mend, but you can never be to careful.OUCH.
