Okay, it's Sunday and you know what day that is, it's TPH day, but again, not today as we went there on Saturday, bummer. At Franz's suggestion we went to Lardo's this morning. Franz and Marcia shared the green chili omelet, Sharon had two eggs, scrambled and I had the giant Burrito. I opted for the Burrito as I had the green Chili omelet the last time, it was good but not great, so I felt I needed a change. It was so big I skipped lunch again. There is a fun story about the Lardo's receipt.
Back at the park we finished watching the British Open, oh yea, they had the British Open on TV at Lardo's, so that was another good reason to skip TPH, way to go Franz. Phil had a magical day hitting every shot and making every putt, while Tiger missed every shot, and every putt. What a great win for Phil, maybe now I can begin to like him. The win was almost as good as Jordan Spieth's at the John Deer, in the scheme of things I think Spieth's win was bigger, for reasons I have already gone into in a previous post, please see previous post.
Oh, yea the Lardo's receipt. As a habit I stuff credit card receipts in my pocked after signing and checking out and I used my credit card at the McCall muni. During the round I kept fishing into my pocket for balls, tees, markers and the like and this receipt kept falling out and I kept putting it back. One time I looked at it and the amount was $14.58. Well I know that nine holes of golf, after 5 in the evening on the weekends at McCall muni is $10.60, so I was pissed, I was over charged four bucks. So not to be denied what was rightfully mine, after the round I marched up to the pro shop counter, produced my receipt and asked for a refund or a credit of four bucks. The assistant pro manning the cash register took a look at the receipt and said he was sorry, but that he could not give a refund or a credit for a receipt from, you guessed it, Lardo's. What a fool I was.
