Parking Eddie P

August 6, 2013, Tuesday Day 67

The highlight of the day was Parking Eddie P.  Nancy and Al were leaving for Michigan and Maine, for a couple of weeks and needed a house sitter and someone to look after Jake, the dog.  Margaret and Eddie P, decided it was something they could do as they were planning on leaving McCall in a few days anyway. So Al's suggestion was to relocate Margaret and Eddie P's trailer from the RV park to Al's house, as he has a nice, but tight fit space next to his boat garage.  This was going to be a real backing challenge, one that I wasn't up for, one that Eddie P, said he would take the first shot and one that Al said, its a piece of cake. Well, the whole group joined in, we were all at Al's place in our lawn chairs, with a cold beer awaiting the arrival of Eddie P and the trailer, quite a gathering and we were all expecting the best.  Eddie P took a couple of runs at positioning the trailer, with some success, he got it in the drive way with out causing any damage, something that is beyond my capabilities.  In the end it was Al that took over a put the trailer in right next to the boat garage like it belonged there.  No damage and everyone was happy, especially the beer drinking on-lookers.

Job well done Eddie

After the successful backing episode, Franz and I took a look at how we were going to tackle the tail gate problem.  Franz was able to get the tail gate down so we could get access to the mechanical problem area.   It seems that the cable/rod attachments had come unattached and that I had lost one.  Franz determined that we could fabricate new ones and that would solve the problem.  So that's where we are, needing to fabricate new cable rod attachments.

Sharon, Marcia and I, after we left Al's, went to the Subway in town.  A very nice Subway that is located in a stand alone log cabin like structure, right on 3rd Street.(Subway Mike, take note, you may want to integrate this style into your Houston properties).

In the evening everyone came over to Happy Hour, including Mark the guest from the Denver area.

After Happy Hour we made our way to the Blue Moose for a variety of dinner items, including pizza, hot dogs, burgers and something else, along with some cold beer.
