McCall Brewing Company

August 16, 2013, Friday Day 77

Today was wash the Truck day, as we had to get it sparkling clean for when Sharon's friend Andi and her husband David arrive on Saturday.  They have a very nice automatic wash thing right next to TPH.  It worked great and we ended up with a sparkling clean truck.

We missed McCall Brewing Company yesterday, so today we gathered up Marcia and Franz and off we went.  It is a nice old McCall sort of a place which has a roof deck where you can eat also.  We opted for inside which may have been a mistake.

On there menu was Bangers and Mash, a great Irish dish and that's what I had, along with a Root Beer float.  The others had traditional lunch fare.  Sharon told me that I had eaten too much and we were skipping dinner.  Toward the end of the meal the place got a little noisy, as a big party came in and was seated next to us, they were the noisy ones.  It was at that time we thought about going up stairs where it was quiet, but we just finished up and left.  May have second thoughts next time.

Root Beer Float

Franz, Mr. Fixit, Handy Man extraordinaire, came over to happy hour a little early to help me fix a latch on one of my storage bins.  I stems from a trip to the RV repair place before we left.  I arrived to pick up the RV and I noticed the door on the storage bin was ajar and I could not open it.  The RV mechanic had to crawl through the space to free up the door to get it open.  It would not operate properly and the locking pin would not release.  I had the mechanic put a screw in place to hold the locking pin so it would not latch the right side and away we went.  It has held up and been this way since we started our trip.  So tonight was the night to see if we could get it fixed.  Franz shows up and I explain every thing to him and we start tearing into it, to see if we can find out what is going on.  We to make a short story long, we removed the screw holding the locking pin in place and started working the release handle and the thing worked perfectly now.  Franz scores again.

After the fix, we had happy hour and Fred had left overs for dinner.
