One Under, not too bad

August 22, 2013, Thursday day 83

OK, today we have to start back to work after our day of recuperation, at least Sharon does.  She was up early and ready to go to the Laundry.  I did my usual helping, which wasn't much.

In the evening I went to Jug Mountain for the evening scramble.  They have an open four man 9 hole scramble that starts at 5:30.  This time there were and abundance of players, as the softball season was over, so they made up a few 5 somes.  We had as our group, me, Al, Don, Gordon McCall(tennis doubles specialist) and Joe 83 years young.  The course was also very full of golfers playing their practice round for Mid-Am tournament that was being held the next three days.  So it made play rather slow.  We did not do great, but we did not do bad.  We were even par through our first seven holes, then there was a chip in birdie, on a par three, and on a very long par 4, out final hole, we make a pretty long put, to save par.  So one under 35.  There was a 31 and a couple of 32's, no money for us.
