Dreary Day in Oshkosh

June 6, 2013, Day 6

Happy Anniversary number 26 to our daughter and husband Gretchen and Matthew, hope you two had a wonderful day.

Dreary day here in Oshkosh, the sun did not shine, light rain most of the day and the temps did not get out of the 50's.  All of the locals are saying that the week end looks great and it is going to get into the 70's, happy day.

So when the going gets tough the tough go shopping, yes George, shopping.  I decided that I needed some warmer clothes, so off to the outlets.  A small outlet mall in Oshkosh.  Eddie Bauer, Lands End, Bass, and others.  Some jeans, a sweater and some long pajamas.  Then is was off to Walmart for some necessaries.

Lunch was at Mr. Cinders a local eatery that has been there since I don't know when, the menus looked about 20 years old on the outside; however the prices had changed on the inside.  For the record it has been over 18 years since we have been to Oshkosh.  A burger for Sharon and a fish sandwich for me, a hardy meal.

We had a little time on our hands so we drove by Oshkosh Truck, our old house on lake Winnebago, and the Oshkosh Country Club, OCC north to differentiate it from Onion Creak Club, OCC south.

We hit 1,000 miles some where in Missouri and now in Oshkosh we are close to 1,500.

We have two new Happy Hour sponsors, Jan and Dick Williamson said they would sponsor two bottles of 3 Buck Chuck and Ceil said she would sponsor Mexican Martinis.  We did have happy hour, again sponsored by A&D.  Sharon whipped up a nice pasta and salmon dish, lighter fare as we had a hardy meal at lunch, capped off by the rest of the bottle of Kirkland's best.

Sharon broke out the M&Ms, so let the feast begin.
