Rope Lights

July 19, 2014 Day 28

Temperature this morning was 58.

Today started out overcast and remained that way all day and into the evening.  In the early afternoon it rained enough to get everything wet a spoil and outside events that were planned.

This morning I received the long awaited rope light hangers that I ordered from Camping World.  These hangers slide directly to the awning slot and make it easy to hang things from the awning, like rope lights.  In Sun City we decorate for Christmas, in our neighborhood, by putting lights out in the front yard.  The approved was is to put up strings of individual light on little stakes.  I did that for two years and it was too hard on the back.  So, this year I decided to do the Christmas lighting using rope lights and it was much, much easier.  I had an extra length of light left over, 48 feet, so why not use them to decorate the RV.  And that's what the hangers are for.  We used all 48 feet winding the rope lights around the awning supports, the awning and the hand rail on the trailer.  The night time pictures did not come out very well, too much contrast between the lights and the dark.  They do look better in person, so drop by some evening when it's not too light.

For lunch we went to Shore Line, in the rain, and ate on the outside deck.  Lucky for us then have big umbrellas that kept the rain off and we had a very enjoyable, dry lunch.  Sharon the world famous fish and chips and I had a healthy salad.

Golf was scheduled for Tamarack this evening, but due to the rain late in the afternoon and the cool temperatures, 71 at 4 PM, we canceled.

Instead we had Happy Hour by ourselves, in side, and Lamb Chops on the grill, and finished off a fine bottle on Three Buck Chuck, Cab.

After dinner we watched a net flix movie that we have been carrying around for a week or so, Saving Mr. Banks.  The story of making Mary Poppins.
