Temperature this morning was a balmy 64 degrees, we did not expect it that warm in the morning, but it was nice.
Today I had a Boat Driving 101 lesson. Al needs a boat driver for his skiing activities, barefoot, ski shoes, wake board and slalom, so I volunteered. He water skis at little Payette Lake which is just above Payette Lake with quite a bit less traffic, not many skiers and a few fisherman. This morning we were joined by Berry, one of Al's friends from San Diego, that summers from time to time in McCall. Al did his thing and Barry did not have a vest so he took a pass, but did an excellent job teaching Boat Driving 101. There is a lot of precision to driving a boat pulling a skier. Proper take off, exact speed, turning and not putting rollers on your course, picking up the skier, bringing it into the dock and loading it on the trailer. Most of which I have not mastered, that's why it's 101.
After some time on the water we had to make a dump run. Nancy's new washer required the old one to be disposed of, along with various left over plant pots. This is the dump with the best scenery in the world, according to Al. It was also a bonus day at the dump, free golf balls, at least there were some to cull through at the front of the building. Al ended up with a couple dozen playable balls.
After the dump I returned to the RV to do some Fred and Sharon things. We had some left over household items from the RV that we donated to the Hospital Auxiliary and Thrift Store. After that it was lunch at Stax, a great sandwich place that we discovered last year. It was good as last year and as big a crowd coming out the door, but it was worth it.
Then it was off to the UPS store to ship back to Franz some things that we had picked up out of the dirt.
A short rest and then it was time to go pick up Al, for afternoon golf. We were joined by Skip and headed to Jug Mountain for the 5:30 scramble, similar to Tamarack, but much better attended with better golfers. We, including Steve, did not do as well here as we did yesterday only finished 3 under a net 33 I think the winners were around 28. After golf were were joined by the ladies, Sharon, Nancy and Bev for HH and dinner.
Al and Nancy shared the Giant Jug burger while Sharon and I shared the Prime Rib special. It was a nice setting over looking the golf course with a great sun set.
On the ride back to the RV Park, the road to McCall was packed solid as everyone was heading to McCall for the start of the Fourth of July weekend.
