June 28, 2014 Day 17
We have spent quite a few days in St. George at the Temple View RV Park and we need to get packed up and ready to go on our next legs of the trip.
First things first, fuel up, and find the best price in town. That price was at Fabulous Freddy's. Yesterday the price was $3.799, but today it was $3.859; however, if got a car wash you could get it for $3.759 and the car wash was only $15. Not very good economics but I rationalized that I needed to get the truck washed and Sharon would feel much better. They also had a big mug at Freddy's that might be in the running for the perfect mug, 100 oz. Not.
We had to get our last outlet shopping in before we left and it got too hot to be outside. I managed three golf shirts, so I would be color coordinated with the shorts I had brought and a fishing shirt (great price) I forgot to bring one. Sharon picked up two pairs of flip flops.
Back at the RV we had some lunch, left over chicken salad and an apple and Sharon had a sandwich. We then settled in and stayed as cool as we could in the afternoon. We had HH and then about sundown, or at least behind the big hill, we had dead chick on the grill.
After dinner, when it started cooling off, I dumped the holding tanks and started checking the tire pressure. The truck was OK, 60 lbs front and 80 lbs rear. The trailer tires require inflation to 110 lbs and to get this done I carry a big compressor along. But for some reason it took a lot longer to get the air in the tires than usual. The tires were right at 100 lbs and after I filled the curb side tires, I gave up for the evening as it was getting late and the compressor made some noise and I didn't want to disturb the other campers near by. Checked into bed at 11:11. Ger the other side early in the morning.
