Ronnie invited me for golf, he had an 8:30 tee time for 9 holes at the Saint George Golf Club and we were joined by two of his friends, Paul and Mark, the same two we played with when we came through on the way up to McCall. The early morning tee time was bearable as the temperatures were rising as we were finishing. There is a significant up hill climb from the golf course to the club house, that I did not think I was going to make. The final few steps were just putting one foot in front of the other.
After golf Sharon had a little grocery shopping to at Smith's and while we were there I filled up, as they had the lowest price in town. Then to WalMart and on to lunch. We ate at a little place near WalMart, named Peppers. On the menu they had Stuffed Sopapias, which sounded great as my mouth was watering for some good northern New Mexico, Mexican food. The Sopapia was un-recognizable, but the filling was good. I asked the waiter if he had ever had a Sopapia in New Mexico, he said never. I told him that the next time he goes to New Mexico he should try one, he would be surprised.
In the afternoon I went to the local bowling alley to watch Ronnie play in his first league match of the season. I was expecting to witness a 300, but he came up just short.
That evening we had our delayed Anniversary Dinner that Sharon had planned for the way up to McCall with Marcia and Franz. Marcia and Franz were nice enough to allow us to use their home and gas grill, for the occasion. We were joined by Judy and Ronnie and Margaret and Eddie. The dinner was great, the drinks were great, the wine was great, the dessert was was great and the company was even better.
