June 15, 2014 Day 4
Happy Father's Day to all you fathers out there, hope you had a wonderful day with all your kids.
Today we traveled to Tucson, not a very big drive like the first day. Total miles to date is 1,025 and we got there in the early afternoon with another time change going into Arizona, they do not go on day light savings time and are the same time as California. Really keeps you on your toes.
During the trip we stopped at a rest stop to check some maps and RV reservations for the evening and when I started the truck back up the instrument cluster did not work. Not Speedometer, Tac, temps, nothing, but the truck ran fine. I have speed on my GPS, so that was no problem, knew I would not run out of gas, so that was no problem, cruise worked, so that was no problem. So we just drove on into Tucson thinking it was a fuse or something more major that I might have to get taken care of before we took off for Phoenix. We checked in at the RV park and started up the truck again, everything worked. Go figure.
Looking for something to do while we were in Tucson, we turned to Costco. For lunch/snack we each had a Very Berry Sundae, if you haven't had one you should try one the next time you are in Costco. The shopping mostly consisted of Booze. They had great prices so it was hard to resist. They had their Kirkland Vodka, made in France, which is hard to find.
Back at the RV we had Happy Hour, un-sponsored, and finished up with Lamb Chops on the grilled with a full bodied Three Buck Cab.
