This morning I took off early before we hooked up to leave, to get fuel. Normal fuel price in Vegas is $3.899 so I needed to find something cheaper. A few miles drive down Windmill Road I found a Smith's with diesel at $3.799 and filler 'er up with 32 gallons, mission accomplished.
While I was out I decided to look for some breakfast and right down the street on the corner was Mickey D's. Two breakfast burritos and a couple of Diet Cokes, one, a treat for Sharon, and I was headed back to the Oasis to get ready to leave. On the way out of Mickey D's, across the street was a Rebel station with diesel for $3.799, damn.
St. George was a short drive away, 130 miles, except there was road destruction on the way. The Virgin River Canyon, about 25 miles out side of SG was having some work done and it was single file, 35 MPH most of the rest of the way. Not a fun way to do highway driving.
We are staying at the Temple, for Mormon Temple, View RV Park. Not a resort by any stretch of the imagination, but adequate and close to things in SG. We are using this as a buffer before our trip up to McCall and will stay here a little over a week.

We got set up in time to be able to listen, thanks to Jan, to the Longhorns defeat Vanderbilt 4 to 0, to extend their life in the CWS.
We had dinner at Ronnie and Judy's house and were joined by Franz and Marcia. Burgers cooked on the grill and lots of good conversation topped off by Watermelon and Brownies.
Ronnie gave us some insight on how to catch squirrels, Utah style. He built this Rub Goldberg type trap out of scrap lumber and screening, with feeding door, trap door and a ramp fulcrum trip design, and baited with peanuts. Sorry no picture at the present moment but I will get one before we leave. It works and he has successfully caught and relocated 5 squirrels, including three youngsters. The Youngsters were the hardest to catch as they were not heavy enough to trip the trap and he had to make some adjustments. The squirrels would go in the door, up the ramp to get the peanuts and bamm, the door would shut.
