July 15, 2012, Day 30
Sunday, glorious, Sunday. The day of big breakfasts and taking it easy.
We started out at the Pancake House, a very big place looks like it could seat 100. We got there early so we did not have a wait. I had Blue Berry Pancakes with and egg sandwiched between and a side of bacon. It was as good as anticipated and we are looking forward to the next time we can come back. When we left, about 9:30, the line was out the door and people were everywhere. It is a combination of Cracker Box and a really nice restaurant.
The biggest part of the day was taken up watching the golf tournament, between napus interuptus. Troy Mattison, the grandson-in-law of Bill and Susie Murphy had a great come back with and eagle on 17 to tie Zack, and on 18 had a chance to win with a birdie, but had to settle for par and go into sudden death. The first hole was interesting with both players going in the water on their second shots and tying the hole with double bogies. Farity's comment was that it seemed more like slow death rather than sudden death. On the second hole Zack hit an incredible fairway bunker shot to kick in birdie range and won the tournament. At least Troy was able to punch his ticket for the British Open. Good day for Troy.
We ended the day with happy hour at Skip and Bev's and had a nice grilled chicken salad for dinner.
