It's been a pretty hectic three days. Started on Tuesday, with breakfast at Chef Geoff's, with the RV crew, Franz & Marcia, Eddie P & Margaret, and Fred &Sharon, minus Skip and Bev. After breakfast the guys, including Skip, met at the high school courts for three sets of tennis in about 2 hours. Sharon went to the hair doctor, Marcia and Margaret went shopping. After Tennis, I cleaned up and Sharon and I headed for Moscow. The trip to Coeur 'd Alene is about 5 hours and we have a fairly early tee time, so we would have had to leave McCall at three in the morning to make the time, so we opted to stay half way in Moscow. We arrived around 5 just in time for Happy Hour. Did you know that Idaho is in two separate time zones, Mountain and Pacific, we changed to Pacific time just before Riggins. Dinner at Applebees and did some required shopping at Walmart a few things for Marcia, and we needed some stuff especially golf balls, just in case. Just as we were ready to leave Walmart it started to rain and for fear Sharon might melt, I went in and bought an umbrella.
We got up early on Wednesday to get some breakfast and leave early enough to make our 10:50 tee time. We arrived at the Coeur 'd Alene Resort around 9 and since we could not check in until later we had to store the luggage and put the clubs in the van for transport to the Golf Course. They have a golf shuttle that takes you from the hotel to the course via boat, a what a great boat it is, this time captained by Larry. What a great way to go. When we got there we had plenty of time to hit balls and warm up adequately. Their driving range is into the lake and they have floating balls that go about 80% of the distance of regular balls, so you could estimate that you were really hitting out there a long way. They even had a lady giving massages in the warm up area, although we did not take advantage. Our playing partners were Byron and Roxanne, from Southern California and our fore caddie was Alicia. Sharon was very pleased we had a female fore caddie, she always felt slighted if the fore caddie was male. The course is perfect, the views were spectacular and to golf was OK to great. Played the blue's 6,343. The temperature was in the 90's so after the round we cooled off in the 19th hole. Then back to the hotel to clean up for dinner. We ate at the top of the hotel at Beverly's, what a view, great service, great food and a very good wine. They even iron the table cloths at the table before it is set, never seen that before.
It was up early again on Thursday to make our 8:20 tee time and the boat ride was great. When we arrived at the dock at the course we were met by Linda, our female fore caddie for the round and Sharon was pleased again. We were a two some and the only problem was we were out after an outing of once a year players, fortunately they were playing a scramble, so it was only partially agonizing. Thank goodness their fore caddie did a good job of rounding up their balls or we would have been there for ever. I played the Tan tees, 5,914 a little shorter and more enjoyable.

After golf we were running again, checking out of the hotel, rounding up our bags and golf clubs so that we could make a Costco run. Marcia had an order to fill and we picked up some stuff including two bottles of Chateau St. Michelle, Indian Wells, poor man's Jordan. A trip to Costco wouldn't be complete without a hot dog and a coke, $3 for both of us. Then it was off to BofA, for some spending money and then into the truck for a 5 hour drive back to McCall. We had a half way P stop for a drink and an ice cream bar. We arrived in McCall a little before 9 completely tuckered out.
It was a great couple of days and I would do it again in a heart beat. Hope you enjoy the many pictures.
