Number 53

June 30, 2015, day 16

Today is our 53rd anniversary. We plan on celebrating with Franz and Marcia when they arrive today.

Five straight days of driving takes its toll, even if we limit our driving mileage to around 350 per day. It was nice to get to Boise in the morning yesterday and have the balance of the day to relax and do what we wanted to do.

We learned yesterday that Idaho is putting on an extra 7 cent gas tax, which should take the diesel price from $3.099 to $3.169, bummer. Need to fill-up today.

This has been a weird trip so far. Spending 8 days in Chanute basically baby sitting the trailer making sure everything got done, and then busting our butts transferring our STUFF from one to the other. Spending one night in the new trailer in Chanute, then driving for 5 days. It's time to have some fun.

Still looking for things inside the trailer, now where did I put that?  Currently it's the remote control for the bedroom TV, luckily we had two and the TVs are compatible.

We used today as a beauty day, pedicures and a hair cut for Fred, #2 all the way. After that a little Mongolian BBQ, and some more necessary trailer items.

Tonight we had dinner with Franz and Marcia at Chandlers, a very fine restaurant in downtown Boise.  This is the second year and if things work out, we hope there is a next time.  Dinner was complements of the Reisch's, shouldn't have been but as much as I protested, it was.  We'll get him back.  Oh, the dinner included a complementary desert a chocolate somethingorother.
