Flowers to make the site look nice

July 6, 2015, day 22

The crowds are gone so it is time to venture out into the big city again and take in the sites and sounds. Started with breakfast at TJ's with Franz and Marcia.  A new addition in McCall, opened in the ice skating rink on the main drag. TJ, she, is a goalie during the hockey season and is trying to make a go of this eating place also. Al is helping by trying to promote it with his friends, he knows everyone.

Then it was off to the hardware store to pick up the right size zip ties to tie down the crates in the washer dryer closet and some small nails to hang a few things in the RV.  After that is was to the truck wash to get the 5 days worth of bugs and road grime off the Sonoma Red truck. Lunch was in order at the local, nicely appointed, Subway.

It was to the nursery next, just a little bit south of the airport to pick up a couple of pots of flowers. The people there were really nice, mother and daughter working hand in hand to make the business a go. We needed another pot and they threw one in along with selling us a half bag of potting soil and a saucer for the pot. They also had a nice display of flamingos so I picked up a new orange one to guard our RV site while we are away.

Back at the park we had to put it all together, along with the solar butter fly, humming bird and lights, and get ready for HH with Jim and Helen, and Franz and Marcia. Traded beer with Franz, he wanted 12 oz cans of anything but Coors and Marcia bought 8 oz Coors Light, I traded him Bud Light.

Dinner was great with salmon on the grill paired with an excellent TBC. I stayed out late on the patio to watch the solar lights, light up, but it was a bust. They had not had enough sun light to charge up after being cooped up in the RV for so long.
