McCall at Last

July 1, 2015, day 17

Up this morning, not too early, grabbed some breakfast on the go, n-hooked and were on the road before 9:30. A nice easy drive from Boise to McCall, about 100 miles, 2+ hours, got there before noon. There is quite a bit of canyon driving right next to the Payette river with a number of 35 mph turns along with some 65 mph stretches.

Checked into McCall RV Resort, Franz and Marcia left Boise before us and we're already checked in and parked. Al was there helping Franz unload his motor cycles.  A little later Al brought Nancy over to the park, she has just had a knee replacement and is working through the hard part now, to meet everyone.

We got unhooked and set up, then it was time got lunch at Stax, great sandwich place in McCall. Back at the park we had some unloading to do as well as a couple of projects. Installed a screen door bar on the screen door to make it easier to get in and out. Then put together an IKEA coffee table that we have drug all the way from Sun City.

After that it was time for happy hour with Franz and Marcia. Had a nice talk with WiFi Ranger, a guy that installs systems that improve WiFi connectivity especially in RV parks. He had a great deal of knowledge and it would be interesting to have a longer conversation with him.

After HH Sharon and I went to Home a Town Pizza for salads and Franz and Marcia retired to their RV. Later in the evening, after we returned from dinner, there was a family string band playing in the park. Mom, Dad, two kids and a few friends, about 8 in all. Not great but very enjoyable.
