51° this morning.
51° this morning.
The king is coming, divot that is.
We are not from Kansas any more. Our Texas license plate for our new 5th Wheel finally came in and we ditched our temporary Kansas plate. What a comedy this turned out to be. With forms to be filled out and additional forms to be filled out, all taking place long distance, my instructions not being followed, license plate delivered to the wrong place. But in the end, Ana, at the motor vehicle department hung in there and finally got them here. Now we will not be Illegals when traveling back to Texas.
Franz was going to act as spotter for Al and his buddy for an early morning water ski outing 8 AM, too early to be civilized, and Sharon and I were going to take Marcia to Breakfast at TPH, a more civilized activity at 8:15. However, Marcia felt poorly, Summer Cold, and Sharon and I went on our own.
The divot king, Mike Merens and his wife Nancy, from Sun City Texas came to visit us in McCall. They are on a south to north trip which the final destination is Banff. They spent last night in Meridian, a suburb of Boise and plan to drop by here for an early lunch on their way to White Fish, Montana. We got to show them our new rig and give them a quick tour of McCall which included drive by's of TPH, Subway (Mike, subway Mike, is the owner of two such places in Houston), Payette Lake and stopping for lunch at Shore Lodge.Almost everyone had the Fish and Chips, they are the best. After lunch they were on their way again. I hope we didn't hold them up too much.
We had a nice little, fast moving rain come through lasting about a half hour. You guys in the Austin area remember rain, don't you. It's that wet stuff that falls from the sky, not to be confused with humidity that doesn't fall from the sky.
HH was just Sharon and me as M still didn't feel up to it. Damn Summer colds. Followed by lamb chops on the grill.
I also installed a command iPhone caddie near my chair so I could have easy access to it while it is charging and hung my Bar sign with a stronger Command Hook so it would not fall off the wall.
