Juneau
We were supposed to go up the Tracy Arm Fjord, but it was blocked with ice flow, so we went up the Endicott Fjord and we had a very good experience.
We had Breakfast at the Divency dinning room, service was good and the food was even better.
I had a problem with the Battery charge on my cool pix camera, I did not bring the charger. I went down to the photo deck where they sell cameras, cool pix just like I have and asked them if they could charge my battery. They said probably not, because all the batteries were different. They looked at the battery in the camera they had in stock and it was the same as mine. We tried the charger connection but it was not compatible. I asked them if they would put my battery in their camera and give it a charge. They agreed and when we got back from breakfast it was fully charged. One for me.
I went Shopping in the rain for a memory card reader for iPad, and umbrella for Sharon. I called the Juneau Electronics store and they said they had what I needed. It was a mile walk to the store in the hard rain, next to the with cars splashing the rain water on me all the way. I finally made it to the bridge and the store, bought my connection cable and was dreading the walk back to the boat. I ask the lady to call me a taxi. The first one said 45 minutes, the next one said 15 minutes, that seemed long to me. There was a guy in the store and I asked him if he had driven there, he said he had, and I asked if he would give me a ride back to the boat, I said I would pay. He said a payment was not necessary. So Oden gave me a ride back to the boat. Seems that he had been to the boat many times so he did not see it as an imposition.
At HH we were going to be headed for the red dog saloon, to see if we could find Dick's vodka. Did not make it, too much rain and too cold.
So after HH at the Wheel House Bar we headed for our first official group dinner. We had a good time with our dinner mates. The salt lake city guy had introduced himself at out first meeting as Roscoe, however his real name was Dave, who knows.
