July 10, Sunday
We had hail at 1:30 in the morning. Sounded like bowling balls being dropped on the RV it was deafening. Got up to check it out and it looked like snow on the ground. To prevent damage to the awning we brought it in. After the hail finally stopped we had rain and hard rain most of the rest of the night.
It was still raining when I got up at 7 and it was 48 outside. It looks like rain for most of the day.
We watched the finals of Wimbledon after we finished one of Sharon's fabulous Sunday breakfasts.
The temperature was in the mid 40's all day and we stayed in except for a quick trip in the morning for a news paper for Sharon at Riddley's.
There was a sparse attendance at HH with only Skip in attendance arriving a little late.
Dinner was also taken inside, pasta and meatballs. You have to have a reserve meal because you cannot always grill outside.
Weather temperatures this trip have been at the extremes. We left Austin to get away from the the heat. Arrived in Albuquerque, where we spent 11 days, it was over 100 most of the days. Got a little break in Williams where we went to Grand Canyon with temps in the 80's. Then on to St. George where we were greeted with 100 and teens. Finally on to McCall where we had mid 50's mornings and mid 80's afternoons. Then the bottom fell out yesterday. We are expecting a recovery on Monday and temps this week returning to normal.
