Happy Fourth of July, I hope everyone enjoyed the celebration of the Birth of our Country.
Morning temperature is 57, not bad for the morning walk.
During my walk Al called and said we were meeting at his house at 9 for a little more water skiing and boat driving improvement skills. Fairly busy at Little Payette Lake, but not as busy or rough as it would have been on Payette Lake. First into the water was Al on the wake board, no barefooting today, just boards. I got to practice my boat driving skills under the watchful eve of Barry and they appeared to be acceptable. Next into the water was Barry, today he remembered his ski vest. Slalom is his game and he was up and going crossing the wake and all that stuff. I was not the boat driver as this required a different skill that was not included in Boat Driving 101. Al tired the slalom and was not as successful.
We had HH with Helen and Jim, from Boise; Bev and Skip, from California. Afterward Sharon and I had Salmon on the grill and sat back waiting for the fireworks.
McCall is up pretty far north, which results in the sun setting rather late as the it begins setting around 9:30. For it to be dark enough, the fire works did not start until around 10:30, I think. I opted not to go down town and fight the throngs of people on the lake, instead, staying in the park and watching over the trees. Sharon assured me that she and Franz watched the fire works from the park last year. Well it was a Bust, the best I could see was fire works exploding in the tree and not all that well.
