September 1, Thursday
The last Jug scramble and we tied for second with 6 under. Something went wrong. Lost #15 on number 2. I would have thought that I wouldn't have lost that many balls, except for Tony hitting the wrong ball, my ball, into the water at McCall.
And it was Sharon's day for the last laundry, we thought before we were to break camp.
September 2, Friday
The Jug Labor Day Sale, time to spend the winnings, I ended up with $74 to spend in the pro shop and at the sale. Spent nothing today, sale merchandise was not out, maybe tomorrow.
HH inside, evenings are getting cooler.
September 3, Saturday
Better get started packing up some stuff and D day is sneaking up on us.
Went to Jug again today, look at all the loot.
September 4, Sunday
We had lunch at the McCall Golf Club, everyting else in town was over crowded with all of the Boise people and Labor Day.
Rain in the afternoon, just before the park Labor Day Party. They moved it inside so everyone would keep dry and warm.
Texas football today, in the late afternoon and into the evening, and Texas prevailed and beat the Fighting Irish of ND.
September 5, Monday
Labor Day
Packed up, Fueled up
Dinner at Home Town Pizza with everyone and we welcomed Eddie P to the group.
September 6, Tuesday
The day after Labor Day and the highways were almost empty. On the road at 9 and made it to Snowville at 4. Dinner at the Ranch Diner and filled up with fuel at The Flying J.
Stayed at Earp's campground, simple, easy in easy out. Put your money in the envelope, cash money and drop it in the slop. They even offered an AARP discount.
September 7, Wednesday
Snowville to Green River.
Dinner at Tamereck, I had a Navajo Taco.
September 8, Thursday
Made it to Durango, dropped the RV in an RV park, suffered a trailer break failure. Then we were off to Ouray to see Dick and Jan. HH and a spaghetti dinner. They had rented a house there for a month and a half and were were there for two nights at the end of their stay.
September 9, Friday
Up early for me, 7, but not for them. They like to get started for the Jeep trails by 8. Breakfast at Roast and Toast and then a Jeep trip to Imagine Pass. Good trip, very rough in spots, be the scenery was excellent.
Back in town we had lunch at Ouray Brewery, dinner at Outlaws and desert at Mouses.
September 10, Saturday
Watched the start of the foot race from Ouray up over the pass were were on yesterday and then on into Teluride. We were then off to Durango to get started on the end of our trip.
We had dinner at an Italian restaurant Mumus, it was great.
September 11, Sunday
Willard's birthday, it's one you can't forget.
And off to Albuquerque to get the trailer brakes fixed.
September 12, Monday
Had an appoint with Droop's friend Dave and a person that knows and employs people that know all about motor vehicles, and a Junk Yard. They were able to analyze the problem and we ordered a part from the manufacturer, under warranty. They also took the opportunity to fix my tail gate, sort of.
We also used the day for Beauty day and a Costco liquor run. Great prices on Costco brand liquor and some discounts on major brands. Stock up and Save?
September 13, Tuesday
While we were waiting for the part to come in we thought we would go see a movie, but we got lost and settled for lunch at Chik-fil-a.
All was not lost, we had droop over for HH.
September 14, Wednesday
Part was still not in so I occupied my time with a round of golf with Droop while Sharon shopped for and purchased a wedding dress.
We also hooked up with Woody and Robin for dinner at the Range Cafe while they were on a trip to Vegas.
September 15, Thursday
Got the part installed and had dinner with Droop and Lisa at Cocina Azul. Great food and very warm green Chili.
September 16, Friday
Left this morning for Lubbock and had dinner at Triple J's.
September 17, Saturday
Made it to Sun City and unloaded with the help from Gretchen, Steven and Nikita.
We celebrated Matthew's new job with a shot of Pappy.
Then dinner at Masfijitas.
September 18, Sunday
Finished unpacking and delivered the RV to storage. Some minor repairs are needed and I will tend to then in the near future.
We then had a much needed and deserved Whataburger.
I calculated the round trip was about 7,500 miles, not including the distance we traveled on the cruise to Alaska.
Glad you could join us and we look forward to it again next year.
