Picked up Droop at his house and then we went to Edgewood over the mountains to visit with Willard and Debbie.
This is the second year in their house and they have been working very hard to fix up both the inside and the outside. They live on 2 acres in the foot hills outside of Edgewood. We had a very good visit with them and learned that they are about to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with all their family coming in to help. Willard is one of my old high school friends and we have known both of them for more than their 50 years of marriage.

After our visit at the house we went for lunch at Blackies also known as Double D's Diner in Down town Moriarty. It was a great road side place with outstanding burgers. I had the usual, when in New Mexico, a GCCB as did others. There was one waitress and one cook and they had their hands full. But being retired we had nothing but time, after all, that's all their is. The burgers were outstanding very comparable to Lugana and Cochiti.

After lunch we went to the Brewery to sample a couple of local brews. I sampled and purchased the Hatch Green Chili beer, Willard tried the Alien Wheat beer and Droop had a stout stout, Sharon sampled the Gun and Oil. It was a neat place but the AC was blowing so hard and was so cold that we opted to leave.
Back at Willard's we had cake and ice cream that Debby had prepared in advance, yummy. We were also visited by their Daughter, Wendy, who lives in the area.
Back at the park Sharon and I had HH and some nice seasoned pork on the grill.
